I stopped thinking about presenting my art to the world. I used to work in a figurative wheel of feeling sad, happy, mad, or even helpless only to end up painting until I fell asleep. Eventually, through all of life’s frustrations, my home began to turn into a gallery in itself and I was running out of space! I managed to create so many works of art that it became necessary to have a serious conversation with myself. I needed to break out of the shyness and turn what I absolutely love into something to share with others.
Full circle exposure, pursuing my art again was one of the best things that could have happened because it allowed me to refocus on myself. It also allowed me to really honor and cherish the loving people who are truly cheering for me daily. My love flows from the hearty home feel of Virginia to the memorable fall/winter love stories of family in Massachusetts and then way across the states to the immaculate scenes of California. My heart stretches far and hopefully my art will stretch even further.
